STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL REHEARSALS AND ARRIVE ON TIME. Absences or late arrivals cause unacceptable impact to fellow students. Review the full season schedule in the registration form.
Do not enroll your student in this program unless you are willing to prioritize this program over ALL other extracurricular activities. Do not sign up for weekend classes if you are planning more than one weekend trip that conflicts with rehearsals.
Students who miss a rehearsal are required to attend a makeup rehearsal at a cost of $20.
Students who miss multiple rehearsals may have their role(s) reassigned to other students.
Students are expected to exhibit mature, respectful, and attentive behavior during rehearsals and performances.
-
Musicals include lead roles, supporting roles, cameo roles, and ensemble roles. All roles are of equal importance to the show. Students may enroll in this program only if they are happy to accept and fulfill any of these roles.
Video auditions are due on the first rehearsal day (instructions will be emailed the week prior).
Every student will receive a role with lines, singing, and ensemble participation, however roles may vary in line count. Regardless of the roles your child receives, including ensemble and supporting roles, we expect them to fully embrace their roles and take a positive and creative view of the importance of their role to the the full production.
-
Assignments will be emailed by the director. Check your email after each class for the updated assignment.
Memorization practice at home is essential to the flow of the production and because an actor cannot fully express their character until memorized.
Memorization requires weekly at-home practice with a parent or other responsive reading partner. Please arrange time with your student every week to read their lines responsively and ensure their memorization.

Students who are serious about developing their theatre skills should enroll in acting and/or voice lessons alongside their theatre productions. Please speak with your theater director or our school administration staff for information on private acting and voice lessons.
